Update (2/15): The deal’s off. Penske, heretofore the American distributor for the Smart brand and the company responsible for the not-a-Micra seen above, is handing the reins of Smart U.S.A. over to Mercedes-Benz U.S.A. Now that Penske will no longer be involved with Smart, the contract with Nissan has been canceled.
