Sainz ?not disappointed? after defeat

Carlos Sainz has denied that he was disappointed to only finish third in the 2011 Dakar Rally after leading the first seven stages of the event. The 2010 winner said he knew that he could not take anything for granted as he held Volkswagen team-mate Nasser Al-Attiyah and X-Raid BMW's Stephane Peterhansel at bay during the opening week, so could not be too frustrated when he encountered problems in the rally's second half
