Al-Attiyah excluded from S2000 win
Nasser Al-Attiyah has lost his victory in the opening round of the World Rally Championship's S2000 class in Mexico due to a technical infringement. The Barwa Ford driver looked to have followed up his Dakar Rally win with success on the S2000 opener, which he led throughout the rally despite strong challenges from Juho Hanninen, Ott Tanak and Martin Prokop. But six hours after the finish it was announced that he had been disqualified.
