SRO wants Silverstone for Intl. F3

British Formula 3 promoter SRO hopes future UK rounds of the new FIA Formula 3 International Trophy can be held at Silverstone rather than abroad. December's world motorsport council meeting approved the creation of a new F3 'world championship' for 2011, which includes the major international F3 events at Pau, Zandvoort, Macau and Korea, plus a Euro Series round at Hockenheim and British F3's trip to Spa at the end of July. British F3 championship manager Lisa Crampton said including the Spa round of the British F3 championship, which will again be a support race to the Spa 24 Hours, on the F3 International Trophy calendar made the most logistical sense in its inaugural season
