Hamilton ?fully committed? to McLaren
Lewis Hamilton says he remains fully committed to his future at McLaren - despite facing the prospect of starting another season on the backfoot after a troubled winter for the Woking-based team. With McLaren's new MP4-26 having struggled for pace and reliability, there has been speculation that unless McLaren can turn around its situation and produce consistent title-winning cars then Hamilton could be tempted to look elsewhere when his contract runs out in 2012. However, ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, Hamilton said that he was only thinking of a future at McLaren - and he sought out team boss Martin Whitmarsh in Melbourne to make it clear to him how focused he was on helping the Woking-based team move forward

The NASCAR iRacing.com Class A Series blew its way into the Windy City for Week Seven of their thrilling online racing tour. Unlike the previous week at Bristol, drivers had a bit of room to maneuver their machines around the 1.5 mile speedway. The 18 degree banks also provided high speeds to go with the already intense racing. Despite all that, it was another one of those in-between weeks for the NASCAR iRacing Series World Championship drivers, so the Strength of Fields (SoF’s) were down, but this only heightened the anxiety for the sim racers who did run, knowing this could be their best chance to put their name on top of the points pylon. Di Resta ?well prepared? for rookie debut
Paul di Resta says that his lack of recent single-seater experience will not be a disadvantage for him compared to Formula 1's other rookies Sergio Perez, Pastor Maldonado and Jerome d'Ambrosio. Kanaan seals KV IndyCar seat
Tony Kanaan has secured a last-minute 2011 IndyCar seat with confirmation that he will drive KV Racing Technology's third car this season. The 2004 champion parted company with Andretti Autosport at the end of last year, and then lost his planned 2011 drive with De Ferran Dragon Racing when a sponsorship shortfall caused Gil de Ferran's squad to close.

Ogier fastest in Rally Portugal shakedown
Last year's Rally Portugal winner Sebastien Ogier continued where he left off on the 2010 event - by topping this evening's shakedown stage. Michael Schumacher believes that the Mercedes W02 could now be the car most likely to challenge Red Bull at the front of the field after the German manufacturer's encouraging end to pre-season testing. Mercedes began the year amid concerns that its car lacked pace during initial running, but a major update brought to the final test at Barcelona revealed the W02's true potential. The seven-time world champion was in buoyant mood as he spoke to the press in Melbourne ahead of the first grand prix of the season this weekend, saying that he now expected to be able to fight near the front with the improved Mercedes
